For generations, the Pomona Ladies Brunch has been a cherished tradition of the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival, bringing women together for friendship, fellowship and a celebration of the remarkable women in our community. We are honored to welcome this year’s featured guests, Melody Wolfe and her daughter, Ashlyn, who will share their family’s inspiring story of faith, hope and resilience. Melody, a longtime Berkeley County educator, is also the mother of this year’s Festival Grand Marshal, Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe.

When Andrew was critically wounded while serving with the West Virginia National Guard in Washington, D.C., in November 2025, Melody’s simple request to “pray for Andy” sparked an extraordinary outpouring of support across the nation. As Andrew fought for his life and began his recovery, Melody and her family continued to share a message of faith and gratitude. Her story ultimately took her to the White House, where she was honored alongside military mothers during a special Military Mother’s Day event in May 2026.
