Anthony Becht hails from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, where he played on the Monsignor Bonner High School football team that won the Catholic League Championship in 1994. He continued his football career as Tight End at West Virginia University where he was a four-year starter. Anthony was selected as Honorable Mention All-American his senior year and graduated with a degree in Marketing. His professional career started when he was drafted by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He was selected to The Pro Football Weekly’s All-Rookie Team, and started the last 14 games of his first season. Anthony started every football game for the next four seasons, racking up 133 catches for 1,133 yards and 17 touchdowns. Anthony is recognized for his devotion to many charities and foundations. Specifically, Project Sunshine and AHRC, where he received the prestigious Thurman Award in 2004, given to an athlete in New York yearly for their success within the community. In March 2005, he became a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, starting every game for the next three years. In March of 2008, Anthony signed with the St. Louis Rams. Most recently, Anthony played for the Arizona Cardinals, and has played over 152 consecutive straight games in his career which ranked 3rd behind Brett Favre and Peyton Manning.
