Apple Arrangements
8:00 - 9:00 AM
Use apples and/or apple parts to create artistic compositions. Prizes and ribbons awarded for the winning entries. No entry fee!
Apple Growers Contests
8:00 - 9:00 AM
Best Plate of 5 Apples – Entries accepted.
Classes are defined as plates of the same variety. A plate consists of 5 apples of the same variety. Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the winning apples based on their uniformity, color, condition, size, and variety. Limit of 3 entries per orchard, 1 entry per variety.

Apple Commercial Pack Gift pack.
Must contain some fresh apples and be suitable to be marketed.

Prizes and ribbons awarded for the winning entries.

Judging starts at 9:00 AM. Sponsored by the Apple Task Force - WV State Horticultural Society and Susquehanna Bank. No entry fee for either of these contests!
Photo Contest(Open to the public--amateurs or professionals may compete)

Best Apple Picture Photography Contest
Submit a framed, ready- to- hang 8" X 10" picture of an apple, apples, orchard, tree, trees, etc.

Winning photo will be published in the 2009 festival booklet.
Bob Elmer Celebrity Sports Breakfast

Share breakfast, memories, and great stories with Pittsburgh Steeler legend Louis Lipps. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Martinsburg. Admission $15, advance tickets strongly recommended. Louis Lipps' appearance is made possible in part by Hunter Company of West Virginia.
Arts & Crafts Show

A wonderful selection of handcrafted work by over 100 craftspeople and food vendors fill the buildings and grounds at the Berkeley County Youth Fairgrounds. $3.00 admission (ages 6 and over; under six admitted free). Live entertainment. All proceeds benefit the 2009 MSAHF.

Apple Variety Identification Contest

Do you know your apples? Here's you chance to win up to $50 if you can identify different apple varieties. Just visit the Apple Task Force's booth to view the apples then submit a written entry before noon on Sunday.
